The League of MN website has a useful summary of how the Minnesota property tax system functions called Property Tax 101.  In addition, the League provides a helpful summary of the market value homestead credit called Market Value Homestead Credit 101.

There is also a fun and easy property tax calculator available.

The MN Department of Revenue also has a handy reference guide to help you understand your property taxes.
